Career Counseling

Call us at (541) 346-3235 to register for a workshop or schedule an appointment with a Career Counselor to get help with resumes and cover letters, identify career goals, develop interview skills and more. First-come, first-serve appointments for resume or cover letter reviews or part-time job search advising are also available. Sign up is available in our reception area.

A variety of workshops are scheduled throughout the term and career counselors are available to meet with you Monday through Friday to discuss major and career choice, internships, resumes, and more. You have three options for accessing counseling:

  1. Register for a workshop. These small group counseling sessions are interactive and focused on your development of knowledge and skills. Upcoming workshops

  2. Schedule an appointment ahead of time. Call the Career Center at (541) 346-3235 or stop by the second floor of Hendricks Hall to find a time that fits your schedule.
     
  3. Use the drop-in/same day appointment service for resume or cover letter reviews or part-time job search advising. The Career Center offers half hour appointments on a first come first served basis during the academic year.  Sign up begins at 8:30am each day, please call or come in to reserve a spot. 

Common Career Counseling Questions

Many issues can be addressed in individual appointments. Here are a few examples of questions students are wanting assistance with answering: 

  • What major would be the best fit for me?
  • What do I want to do after I finish my degree?
  • How do I learn more about the world of work?
  • Can I get experience to test out a career idea while I am a student? How?
  • How do I write a resume and/or cover letter?
  • What do I need to know before I go to an interview?
  • How can I practice for an interview?
  • How do I find a job?
