Find the 2008 presidential candidate that supports your beliefs

Note: we plan to keep off-topic posts like this very infrequent, but voting is important!

http://glassbooth.org/images/glassbooth-logo.gifIn case you haven't been paying attention, we're closing in on election day and the amount of advertising and campaigning is reaching new (and annoying) levels. I'm getting daily phone calls and people knocking on my door trying to convince me to support their candidate or position, but I would rather find out which candidate supports my beliefs from a more neutral source.

I recently came across a non-commercial/non-partisan website and facebook application called glassbooth that helps you answer just that question. It's an easy two step process: first you rate the importance of 16 general issues (things like: science, internet and media, health care, education, etc.), then you rate how much you support or oppose a number of statements (like: I support or oppose increased funding for scientific research). After you submit your answers you will see how closely your beliefs are represented by the various candidates. It's easy and it shouldn't take more than a few minutes!  You can also explore the beliefs of the candidates to see excerpts from speeches, policies, and video clips from that candidate relating to the issue you are interested in.

Regardless of how you decide who or what to vote for, the important thing is to vote! You can get voting help for any state at Rock the Vote's Election Center.
