We believe that the pursuit of excellence is a commitment, and is ongoing. This commitment to excellence is a vital part of our culture that joins every Sherwin-Williams employee together in service to our customers and shareholders.
College students can show us that they are striving for excellence in many ways. One of the best is by actively participating in their college experience. Our company looks for well-rounded individuals that want to make a contribution and can multitask during a busy workday. Seeing a student that worked during college, was an active participant in campus activities and clubs, played intramural sports and still managed to get good grades is a dream come true for us. Not only will getting involved at UO help you to meet new friends, learn about yourself and have a fun college experience, it will have potential employers competing to try and get you to be a member of their team!
Another way to show you are pursuing excellence is by taking advantage of various career events and workshops that UO offers to better yourself. The more prepared you are when you are speaking to or being interviewed by a potential employer, the more they will want to hire you! Excellence in this area may mean anything from practice interviews, to resume workshops, to researching the company beforehand. Going above and beyond during college is an excellent indicator that you will do the same in your first career after school.
Sherwin-Williams - the largest producer of paints and coatings in the USA, will be on campus during the Fall Career Fair and Interview Day, November 13 and 14.
