What will I do?
The Test Engineering department designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment needed for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Significant data is generated by all of the processes and procedures that the Test Engineering department is responsible for.

In this role, there is a focus on data analysis/engineering in order to better understand the effectiveness and efficiency of the test process(es) and ancillary systems. The primary goal is to convert data into actionable insight. The successful candidate will have a natural affinity towards data-driven decision making. Being curious and creative are valuable traits for gathering and preparing data for analysis.

What are you looking for in a candidate?
• BS in Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent
• Graduating between December 2017 and June 2018
• Experience in Linux/UNIX/Solaris
• Basic computer architecture and familiarity with hardware components
• Ability to write/ develop software code (Python, SQL, shell scripting)
• System Administration skills in Linux/UNIX/Solaris
• Basic understanding of statistics is advantageous
• Ability to download and install software and perform troubleshooting
• Experience or knowledge of writing test cases to verify software quality
• An ability to document test procedures, issue resolutions and track results
• Familiarity with product development life cycle

• Test Engineers report to the manufacturing facility and are present and available for the various teams that they interact with but the nature of the work also enables for work activities to be performed virtually as well.
