Summary of Position:
Provides oversight and guidance to the FAST (First Aid Service
Team) program, coordinates FAST logistics for and participates at scheduled events, delegates tasks to FAST officers and provides support when necessary.
Oversees intake and onboarding process of new, incoming FAST volunteers, and works with Executive Director and community partners to schedule and coordinate
participation at community events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Facilitates meetings with FAST Training,
Operations, Volunteer Recruitment, and Administrative Officers (FAST Council).
§ Periodically meets with the RC Executive
Director and RC Volunteer Specialist to provide critical updates to FAST Council and members.
§ Acts as a liaison between volunteers,
employees, RC Executive Director, RC Volunteer Specialist, and others within RC as needed.
§ When necessary, assists the FAST Training
Officer in the creation of meeting agendas with input from the FAST Council.
§ Responds to referrals for new FAST
volunteers and follows up with more information on upcoming training and meetings.
§ Attends each monthly FAST General meeting,
and facilitates monthly FAST Council Meetings (to be held prior to the FAST General meeting).
§ Attends each scheduled FAST event (including
all home University of Oregon football games and other various, planned events).
§ Position is open to current college-level
§ Preferred candidate will have interest in
nonprofit or program management.
§ Must be able to commit to an average of 10-15 hours per week, with ability to work from home in exception to one day per week of working at the chapter location or when attendance is expected at planned events.
§ Start of the position is as soon as possible, and the candidate must be able to commit to the role until July 31, 2018.
§ This is an unpaid position, with ability to receive free First Aid/CPR/AED training and free Bloodborne Pathogens training, along with many professional development opportunities.
