Work will be 10 hrs/week between 8:00-5:00 M-F

• Inspect buildings and catalog various building related items. This will include water fixtures, building finishes, and other items.
• Enter information into various databases, including but not limited to: bulk sample data, water sample data, indoor air quality inspection data, asbestos and lead program records, and other routine recordkeeping in support of EHS Building Sciences operations.
• Miscellaneous duties such as report preparation, sign posting, research, or providing assistance to other areas within the Safety & Risk Services unit as directed by EHS staff members.
• Filing a variety of paper and electronic documents as needed. Must be accurate, easily retrievable and filed according to established methods/procedures.
• Assist with greeting and assisting visitors in front reception area.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Reliable, organized, friendly, self-motivated and a team player.
• Good written, verbal, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite is required; proficiency with MS Excel, and comprehensive database programs such as MS Access is desirable.
• Current valid driver’s license and able to be certified to drive UO vehicles.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Must be able to walk ½ mile
• Backgrounds in Environmental Science, Geology, Architecture, or other scientific fields are encouraged to apply. Experience in building construction and/or facilities management are also desired.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
