Assisting the Managing Director and Artistic/Executive Director in all administration matters in this internationally-active arts non-profit that brings people together, with and without disabilities, through dance and movement. We will train you in areas you do not have experience. Duties may include some or all of the following, depending on your strengths: email correspondence, preparing press releases and marketing material, assisting with grant writing, updating our website (using a user-friendly non-technical program), filing, data-entry, some phone calls, managing projects and producing dance and/or fundraising events, updating social media such as Twitter and Facebook postings. Possible graphic design work, management of video to DVD transfers, or Quickbooks book-keeping, depending on your skills and experience. At this time we are ONLY seeking applicants with federal work-study awards and eligibility - please confirm in your application that you have a work-study award. Excellent writing skills are essential. Independent initiative, ease with typing, word processing, Facebook, emailing, writing. Experience in dance or arts/event production, Public Relations, grant writing, or working with or familiarity with people with disabilities are assets but not necessary. Experience with graphic design or Excel are assets but not necessary. Comfort with multitasking and close attention to detail are needed, as we are often juggling several different types of work in the same day.
