Overview of Position

We are looking to fill a newly created position on our team. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for development and design of digital graphics and coordinating digital marketing efforts. The Digital Marketing Coordinator reports to Senior Marketing Director. Qualified candidates will have background in graphic design and digital marketing.

Major Responsibilities

Develop and manage OMRI graphics
• In collaboration with the Senior Marketing Director and design contractor, design quality digital and print graphics that match OMRI’s style
o Develop and design graphics for use on the OMRI website and social media, particularly graphics designed to educate and communicate complex ideas
• Coordinate OMRI’s print and digital advertising, including ad design and coordinating ad submissions and billing
o Coordinate certain OMRI memberships and sponsorships and oversee benefits
• Oversee video production including pre- and post-production
o Work with staff and contractors to prepare videos that effectively explain complex material
• Photograph OMRI events
o Take pictures of OMRI staff and staff functions
o Collect photos and manage digital archives

Coordinate web-based marketing efforts
• Assist Senior Marketing Director with developing, planning and scheduling social media content
• Assess OMRI.org search engine optimization strategies on an ongoing basis
o Identify areas for improvement
o Develop data-driven recommendations for SEO-savvy web copy and optimal web format to grow website visitors
o Assist relevant staff with implementing changes as assigned
• Manage tools for building digital audiences, such as Google Adwords and Analytics
• Coordinate, post and promote OMRI digital marketing content as assigned

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications or a related field required
• 2 or more years of experience working in graphic design preferred
• 2 or more years of experience working in social media marketing preferred

Skills:
Required
• Demonstrated ability to produce graphics with a consistent style
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
• Experience with digital marketing tools including social media, search engine optimization, Google Adwords and/or Google Analytics required
• Proficiency in standard office software
• Superior written and oral communications skills
• Willingness to participate in professional development activities, and ability to acquire new skills and adapt to change quickly
• Ability to work constructively as part of a dynamic team
• High level of attention to detail and ability to process and communicate complex information and instructions
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, organize information, complete tasks in a timely fashion, and appropriately handle confidential business information
Preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of SEO best practices
• Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing Spanish
• Familiarity with and support for organic food

Other Requirements:
• Ability to provide annual motor vehicle report and proof of auto insurance, if required
• Ability to work occasional nights and weekends, if required.
• Ability to occasionally travel domestically, if required.
