Are you a Payroll expert seeking an opportunity to work with a collaborative team? Do you have experience with ADP Workforce Now?

VTech is looking for an experienced Payroll Professional to manage end-to-end payroll processing in a dynamic environment. We anticipate this to be a 30 hour a week opportunity. The Payroll Manager will interact closely with the Human Resources and Accounting teams, performing and coordinating all activities necessary to process company payroll for multiple divisions. Candidate will have strong payroll and GL experience and assist with reviewing and recommending new changes to payroll processes and reporting.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides administrative and day-to-day support to multiple divisions within VTech to ensure that employees are paid accurately on a regular basis.
Process bi-weekly multi-state US payroll using ADP Workforce Now and partnering with ADP Comprehensive Payroll (outsourcing).
Reconcile and perform payroll audits to ensure accurate processing.
Maintain related records, file tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, process involuntary deductions, such as levies and garnishments.
Reconcile payroll data to GL. Prepare and process necessary accounting entries, such as PTO accruals, for upload into Oracle and other systems.
Research and respond to all payroll related inquiries in a timely manner.
Complete account reconciliation of payroll-related liabilities, such as PTO, Flex Spending, 401(k), employee health contributions, etc.
Ensure tax filings by state are appropriately maintained.
Prepare and maintain payroll-related and headcount reports for accounting and finance departments as needed.
Ability to create analytical reports to illustrate employee level data.
Maintain working knowledge of changes in wage and tax laws to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws.
Serve as the subject matter expert on payroll processes.
Maintain ADP database - set up new hires, terminations, update salary, benefit, and other information.
Annual reporting such as EEO-1; Affirmative Action Plan; and Workers Compensation payroll reports for SAIF and Travelers.
Coordinates and assists in the annual 401K audit process, submits compliance data needed for the annual 5500 filing and annual Safe Harbor Notification.
Respond promptly to various agencies regarding garnishments, support orders, and tax issues; employment verifications, both written and verbal.
Track and report the budget for multiple associated programs to SVP of HR.
Coordinate budget proposal process.
Ability to manage highly confidential / proprietary information.

SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS

7+ years of ADP workforce now multi-state processing experience
In Depth knowledge of Payroll and Human Resources related law and Payroll Tax (IRS and FTB) law.
Must have demonstrable experience in improving service levels and efficiencies.
Strong understanding of California, Oregon, Illinois, Texas and other states' payroll and benefit laws.
Excellent customer service skills
Strong decision making, prioritizing, attention to detail, and time management skills
Strong Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite Software, and Oracle.
Account reconciliation experience.
Proven ability to work well under pressure and adjust to varied workloads and fast-paced work environment that is deadline driven.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or a related field, and 7 years of progressively responsible experience in Payroll required; or combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform assigned tasks.
