Finance and Administration Shared Services - IT (FASS-IT) is looking for a technical assistant to help support computer information technology for the units under our care. Currently, this includes Campus Planning and Facilities Management, Parking and Transportation and UOPD. Other units will likely be added in the future. The person selected for this position will handle Tier 1 support requests to help relieve the day-to-day support load from our other IT staff. We’re a busy shop with a lot to get done, but we do our best to have fun while we’re doing it.
•Excellent interpersonal skills, a pleasant demeanor plus a great sense of humor.
•Good general computer and technology problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
•Work history of reporting on time and being a reliable worker.
•Ability to obtain CJIS Level 3 Certification within 30 days of beginning employment.
•Ability to work independently and with a team.
•Ability to lift 30 pounds
•Ability to physically access space under and/or behind typical office desks
•Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office suite.
•Ability to follow technical instructions.
•Ability to know when to ask for technical help from more senior colleagues.
