Career Fairs and Events for Employers

Every term we offer three-day career recruiting opportunities. We host a networking evening event followed by the career fair the next day and then finish up with an opportunity for you to interview your new candidates here on campus on day three. Additionally, the University Career Center holds several other industry-focused events throughout the year where you have the opportunity to meet talented UO students and alumni.

Employer Information Table Requests

Requesting to schedule an information table in the midst of the bustling Erb Memorial Union (EMU), the UO's student union and heart of campus, is one strategy to promote job opportunities. Tables may be scheduled from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with availability inside (limited) or outside the EMU. Please submit your request at least two to three weeks prior to a planned campus visit, as UO student clubs and organizations have first priority. Request your information table through the University Career Center’s  On-Campus Recruiting Coordinator at 541-346-3235.

Employer Information Session Requests

Hosting a career information session is an excellent recruiting strategy to network with motivated candidates, showcase your internships and career opportunities, and highlight company culture. Generally, we suggest scheduling late afternoons/early evenings when students have better availability. If your organization is new to campus, we recommend you attend a career fair so that students have an opportunity to become acquainted with you first. Information sessions are typically scheduled in classrooms (usually at no charge; no food/beverages allowed) or in our Erb Memorial Union (EMU) meeting spaces that allow food/refreshments to be served (hourly EMU rental rates apply). Please submit your request at least three to four weeks prior to a planned campus visit, due to limited meeting space availability.
