Assistant Camp Director- Seasonal (June to August). Operates three overnight camps, each having an administrative team that oversees the operation of camp. This includes health procedures, kitchen procedures, ensuring high quality programming and supervision of staff. These full-time seasonal positions offer $475 per week. Major Accountabilities/Job Duties: Assistant Camp Director Overview: Full time, seasonal position offering $475 per week with room and board. Responsible for running camp in the absence of the camp director with the assistance of the program coordinators. Responsible for supervising the health and food service programs and staff. Keep records of income and expenses at camp as delegated by camp director. Review standing orders, notify camp director if there are any issues or if standing orders are unsigned by physician. Purchase supplies as necessary (within budget). Check incoming supplies against orders and invoices. Keep camp director informed of health and safety problems. See that sanitation procedures for kitchen, dining area and health center are posted and observed.

Qualifications for Assistant Camp Director: At least 21 years of age One year in an organized camp setting or other equivalent work with children. Experience working with children, young adults and adults. Interest, knowledge and skill in a variety of camp programs. Possess or able to obtain Child and Adult First Aid/CPR and AED certification or higher. Possess or able to obtain food handlers card required by specific county and state. Possess or able to obtain appropriate aquatic, equestrian or challenge certifications as necessary. Valid driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record. Register as a member of Girl Scouts of the USA. Willingness to accept the principles of the Girl Scouts movement as expressed in the Girl Scouts Promise and Law
