This position coordinates the logistics of the Bike Program and serves as the student ambassador to the University of Oregon and greater community. Primary responsibilities include: serving as primary coordinator of term bike rental program, organizing events, promotions, advocacy and collaborating with bike mechanics and Bike Program Coordinator on various projects.
•Initiate, organize, and promote bike-related events
•Generate bike-related educational and promotional resources
•Create and manage Bike Program newsletter and social media
•Track and record accomplishments, answer emails, and assist with data entry and other administrative tasks
•Network with campus groups including LiveMove, ASUO, and UO Sustainability Center
•Form partnerships on campus and with community organizations
•Assist Coordinator in various projects, including Bike Share, grant writing, and campus bicycle planning
•Coordinate with Mechanics to identify and execute Bike Program projects
•Coordinate term loan bike fleet, including communication with current users and interested students
•Schedule term loan bike fleet checkouts
•Assist Mechanics in maintenance and preparation of the bike rental fleets as needed
•Provide quality customer service to Bike Program and Outdoor Program users
•Participate in the overall operation and customer service of the Outdoor Program as needed
•Experience with or passion for bicycles and bicycle advocacy
•Experience with or interest in event planning
•Comfort with public speaking
•Exceptional customer service skills
•Proficiency with Mac operating systems, working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, web-based programs and social media
•Ability to network with diverse clients and sponsors
•Exhibits self-motivation, maturity, initiative
•Work Study Certified preferred but not mandatory

We will be conducting ongoing interviews until the position is filled. The ideal candidate would be available this term (Spring 2018) and at least a few weeks during the summer to train with the current Student Operations Coordinator. The hours will go up to 15-25 hours/week once Fall term 2018 starts.
