Production Planner / Scheduler

As a leading producer of parts and complex assemblies in Hillsboro, Oregon, we are looking for a Production Planner / Scheduler who wants to be challenged and perform hands on work in a dynamic manufacturing environment. As a Scheduler/Planner at Davis Tool, you will operate at the epicenter of our business. You will have the opportunity to interface with other key departments, work directly with our customers, review contracts, accept new orders, monitor production schedules and assess manufacturing capacities. You have a critical role in ensuring quality and on-time delivery to our customers.

Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Analytical and problem solving skills

Scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment

Demonstrated knowledge of project management

Experience reviewing customer contracts

Proficient with MRP systems, spread sheet and presentation software

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage major customer accounts.

Create and update work instructions.

Review customer contracts at time of order

Create and review new product schedules with sales, engineering and manufacturing.

Communicate order information to shipping department.

Coordinate with purchasing to insure product schedules.

Support the master scheduler with capacity analysis, production schedules and rate readiness information for customers.

Qualifications

BS Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or 5 years of equivalent work experience

APICS certification preferred
