There are hundreds of job boards on the internet and many of them have the same jobs. So how do you know where to spend your precious time?

Handshake is a great starting place because the platform is focused on part-time jobs, early-career talent, and internships great for current students and recent graduates.

Here are some other ideas of places you can look. Remember, setting up saved searches by keywords and locations can help you save time and cut down the noise. Additionally, look at the company website’s career page to make sure a job is still active and that you are seeing the full application process (Don’t always trust the one-click applications!).

Where can I find a job in any city?

  • Handshake — search by city or even find remote opportunities around the globe
  • LinkedIn — manage your professional identity, build and engage with your professional network, and access opportunities
  • Careeronestop — learn about careers, find career information, salary ranges, job outlook, and locate career resources and advice
  • Indeed — post your résumé and search for jobs around the world
  • Glassdoor — For unlimited access to reviews, salaries and interview questions, sign up with your student (.edu) email.
  • UpWork — find freelance work in a variety of categories including IT, design, writing, translation, admin, accounting, etc.
  • Fiverr — connects freelancers with business owners looking for services in various digital projects, including website design, content writing, and voice-overs.
  • Flex Jobs — looking for high-quality, vetted remote opportunities (note subscription fee)

Search for H1B visa applications by location, occupation, and company name, and Identify U.S. employers that have previously hired international professionals with your skill set.
