How do I create a Handshake account for the University of Oregon?

  1. New to Handshake? Sign up as an employer with an email and password at https://app.joinhandshake.com/employer_registrations/new.
  2. Complete your profile, review the employer guidelines, then wait for Handshake’s confirmation email.
  3. Confirm your email, join or create your company, and connect with the University of Oregon. Already have a Handshake account? Sign in at https://app.joinhandshake.com/login.

How do I post a job or internship?

  1. Log in to your Handshake account.
  2. From your home dashboard, click Post a Job (you can also post here internships, fellowships, on-campus student employment, and opportunities for graduate school, experiential learning, or volunteering).
  3. Follow the instructions and set your job posting preferences. Be sure to select University of Oregon when adding your schools.
  4. Click Save in the lower right corner to save your job and send your posting out to schools to be reviewed.

How do I host a virtual event?

  1. Log in to your Handshake account.
  2. From your home dashboard, click Create an Event.
  3. Fill out your event details, selecting “Virtual” as the format. Include the URL of your online event in the text box that appears. (The URL should be a link to a livestream platform that you will be using for this event.)
  4. Under “School,” select University of Oregon from the dropdown box.
  5. Click Save in the lower right corner.

How do I register for events and career fairs?

  1. Log in to your Handshake account.
  2. From your home dashboard, click Fairs (under “Campus” on the left navigation bar).
  3. In the Search Bar, type University of Oregon.
  4. Choose a fair or event and click on it.
  5. Click Register and fill in the information.

How do I request an interview schedule?

  1. Log in to your Handshake account.
  2. From your home dashboard, click Request an Interview.
  3. Select and fill in pertinent details.
  4. Attach an existing job posting or create a new job associated with this interview.
  5. Click Request in the bottom right corner to submit your request for approval.

How do I request an on-campus information session or information table?

  1. Log in to your Handshake account.
  2. From your home dashboard, click Create an Event.
  3. Fill out your event details.
  4. Under “School,” select University of Oregon from the dropdown box.
  5. For info session, under “Type” choose Info Session; for an information tabling session, choose Employer On-site.
  6. Click Save in the lower right corner.
